Westeel, a division of Vicwest Corporation, was awarded the Shop Fabricated Atmospheric Tank of the Year Award from the Steel Tank Institute/Steel Plate Fabricators Association, making it the first Canadian company to win the award.

The award-winning product was the ULC S601-07 triple-compartment integral contained fuel storage tank designed to be used in remote refuelling applications. It features three separate compartments, allowing for the storage of different types of fuels in a single tank.

The tank design includes swivelling light fixtures and support poles, a flip-up stair section, a fold-down handrail section, and a full catwalk with access stairs—thus, the tank can be easily shipped and delivered to the site, and then set up and put into service within a short time frame.

For more information, contact Denis Tetrault, sales manager, liquid products at 204-233-7133 or visit the Westeel website.
