Message from the publisher: Welcome to Canadian Mining & Energy

Harness the power of the new Canadian Mining & Energy magazine

Welcome to Canadian Mining & Energy magazine and website (formerly Mining & Exploration). We’ve not only changed our name but have broadened our focus too.

As Mining & Exploration magazine celebrates its 10th anniversary, we will be expanding our geographical coverage from Western Canada to all of Canada.

Moreover, we are responding to client and reader demands by expanding our content to include more coverage of the dynamic liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, the oil and gas industry, and the alternative energy sector as well as continuing our focus on the mining and mineral exploration markets.

Readers will have noted a number of energy-related articles in previous editions of our magazine and on our website, such as:

  • “New gas infrastructure” — Fort St. John, B.C., Winter edition 2014/2015;
  • “Switzerland's solar sunflower” — Winter edition 2014/2015; and
  • “Technology to the test” — SaskPower's carbon capture technology, Fall edition 2014.

The positive feedback we have received from these articles and other similar ones has lead us to the decision to unveil our rebranded Canadian Mining & Energy magazine. It promises to be unique in its field by reporting on and delving into issues and synergies of these resource industries.

Talking about synergies, we recognize that many of our advertising clients service both the mining and energy sectors. So we are now pleased to offer them an opportunity to maximize their reach and communicate with key decision makers in both arenas.

We will develop informative reports on the people, developments and infrastructures of mining and exploration companies and now with an expanded focus on the energy sectors.

Canadian Mining & Energy will continue to offer a highly targeted, direct-mail distribution system to most effectively utilize your marketing investment. Our advertisers will reach readers across the country.

Remember, the readers of Canadian Mining & Energy, our related website (www.miningandenergy.ca) and our monthly e-newsletter are not just any readers. They are industry professionals and key decision makers with tremendous buying power. With our exclusive and highly targeted distribution list, we get your important message into the hands of readers who really count.

So put the power of subscription-based direct mail marketing to use and draw on the energy of Canadian Mining & Energy’s total media package in print, online and via our e-newsletter.

Sincerely,

Keith Powell, publisher
